If you need to lose weight and you want to add in a little exercise, then fitness walking to lose weight might be a great fitness program. Going a steady pace of walking is really a great way to start exercising if you’ve been a couch potato for awhile. Always consult with your doctor though before starting any sort of weight loss or exercise program. It is always recommended that you start out slow and then build up as you progress.
Excessive walking though is not necessary if you are trying to rush the weight loss. You can do fitness walking for weight loss inside on a treadmill or outside. Where you walk is not important but that you do something besides being a couch potato. Doing that many steps a day will ensure that you are getting the minimum amount needed for your daily activity.

You might even wish to share your exercise log with your physician because he might suggest some other ways to exercise for weight loss. If after you have done fitness walking for weight loss regularly for one hour without any discomfort, then it is time to measure the distance that you are walking. It is then that you can start to walk a little faster every time until your distance in that hour reaches four miles.
Fitness walking is really great way to exercise as well as lose weight. Walking the 10,000 steps a day can also be done by doing other physical exercises.
