A brisk walk would mean to walk 2 to 3 miles in an hour with 30 minutes being the minimum. It is not required that you walk the 30 minutes all at one time. You can break this up into 3 to 4 times a day as long as you walk at a brisk pace for at least 10 minutes each time.

As we get older, our metabolism usually slows down and we tend to gain weight real easy. Fitness walking will help to speed up your metabolism so that you want gain those extra pounds.
Fitness walking also helps to lower your blood pressure and strengthen your heart. And it also helps to prevent diabetes and heart related health problems. Is it amazing how something that you do everyday without thinking about it, could also be a form of exercise to help you be healthy.
